Goodbye Summer

Months of somewhat sunny days have passed as the hottest season has ended. No more fresh berries, stone fruit, and gigantic melons. So long vibrant summer squash, evergreen zucchini, and plump juicy tomatoes. But not all is lost. With one season behind us we have another to look forward to. Who doesn't like warm spiced apple crisp or a pot of juicy beef bourguignonne anyways? Well these are the flavors and dishes fall is famous for and really the only reason we don't mourn the loss of clear blue skies and foliage at full bloom. Dust off those slow cookers and get ready for your gas bills to go up because it’s time to start cooking in the kitchen again!
