Summer Is Almost Over

The scent of fall is in the air. Time to break out the pressure cooker and legumes; roast root vegetables and purée into hearty soups; preheat the oven for pies, tarts, and galettes. Quite possibly my favorite season to cook at home. We're more likely to stay in and avoid the chilly breeze outside. Flavors and seasonings are warm and ooze comfort. What should I make first? I'm thinking butternut squash and apple soup, so that my whole family can enjoy it, including our 10 month old. Maybe change it up with a little curry and finished with pancetta, sage, and yogurt. Check back to see if it's a success!
