20 Days of Cookies - Day 6

Day 6: Frosted Flake Wreaths
I know it sounds corny (pun intended) but these little mounds of green marshmallow gooeyness are so classic that it's hard not to smile when you see them. They're like green bean casserole at Thanksgiving, or ambrosia salad at a picnic. So all-American and EASY anyone can make them! (Note: this recipe calls for margarine, which I do use rather then butter because it remains the right consistency when melted with the marshmallows giving you the results you're looking for.)

5 Tbs margarine
4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 tsp. green food coloring
6 cups Kellogg's Frosted Flakes®
Red cinnamon candies
Vanilla frosting in piping back with small tip

Add marshmallows and butter to large microwave safe dish and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave for 30 more seconds. Add food coloring and cereal and stir until well coated. Using two spoons coated in non-stick spray, dollop 1/4 cup size on parchment paper. With a flat measuring cup and a small piece of parchment paper, push down the tops of wreaths to flatten them. Then with your fingers sprayed, make a well or hole in the middle. Squeeze 6 small dots of vanilla frosting around wreaths and top with cinnamon candy. Leave out overnight uncovered. Makes about 16 wreaths.
